CAT has purchased 16 low-floor buses for fixed-route and express use since 2001. Six additional low-floor buses will be delivered by December 2006. These vehicles are equipped with a ramp platform which can be lowered or raised manually if an electrical malfunction occurs. In addition to ease of accessibility for persons who use wheelchairs, the ramp is also very convenient for ambulatory persons who have difficulty climbing steps. |
